EVA Inc.

Founded in 1981, the folks at EVA Inc. threw up a website and forgot about it. In a effort to modernize their business image, the folks at EVA Inc. came to us for a total refresh. They wanted something clean and corporate that would help them to better compete alongside their competitors' professional sites. With a no nonsense approach, we created a slick new Website that really gives them the professional look they are after.

What We Did For EVA

EVA wanted to go from a pretty plain Website to something a bit more slick and modern in line with their industry. After hours researching EVA's competition, scrutinized their needs, and coming up with ideas, we decided to revamped their Website architecture, CONTENT and style.

Technical Stuff

  • Graphic Design

EVA's Website doesn't really contain a lot of images - at least none that we had to create ourselves. Most of the images were photos found on istockphoto.com, edited and included on the pages of EVA's Website. We also tapped into Google Maps for some cool satellite photos. Way too cool - it was hard tearing ourselves away and get back to work.

  • Flash

EVA wanted a Flash introduction on their homepage. They also wanted to redirect their audience to their Core Products inside their Website. So creating a simple gallery and navigation that links to the appropriate pages met their needs.

  • Copyrighting

Technical writing is essential to business, but it can put you to sleep pretty fast. All we had to do was polish the content the EVA gave us. We also used some notes to push some messages through to the viewer. These were often located below the photo holder on the right side of the page.

More importantly, we write content to optimize Search Engine Searches. You propably already know about SEO - search engine optimization. Simply put, we do our research and scrutinize content for keyword usage. We are not talking about going crazy with keywords, just making sure they are present and significant.

  • Website Templating

We used the most current xhtml and css code to build our websites. EVA's old Website was built using tables. At the time this Website was first launched, tables was all we had to design with, although fairly limiting. You can still code using tables, with the help of cascading styles sheets (CSS). But, today browsers have improved to the point where using div's and CSS is more efficient, reliable, better for SEO, infinitely easier to maintain and is superior for designing and layouts.

EVA wanted to be able to maintian their Website in-house. So after settling on a design, we created templates for each section of the website, loaded them into Dreamweaver and coded the entire site. Website editing is a breeze.
